Sacramento Regional County Office Building
The new Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District Administration Center and Corporation Yard is a 2-story, 136,000 SF office building, a 40,000 SF warehouse and shop, a 3,900 SF central utility plant, and a 12-acre corporation yard housing operations and maintenance personnel, set on approximately 23-acres.
Energy conservation measures include extensive use of louvered skylights providing 75% of all occupied spaces with natural daylighting, exterior sunshades, underfloor air distribution, high-efficiency lighting integrated with daylighting, Cool Roof rated “white roof”, 100 kW photovoltaics located on the warehouse roof, and energy performance savings greater than 28% above California Title 24 baseline.
Sustainable design concepts include the use of ultra-low flush and flow fixtures, recycled content and regional materials, vegetated swales and filtration system for filtering and infiltrating stormwater runoff onsite, water-efficient landscape design, centrally located facility encouraging alternative means of transportation, and preferred parking for low emission and fuel-efficient vehicles.
