K-12 Education Experience
Experience encompasses more than 5,000 educational facilities with construction values in excess of $4 billion completed under the State School Building Program; experience with more than 100 school districts; master planning/needs assessments for more than 30 school districts; more than 30 new high schools, more than 50 new middle schools, more than 100 new elementary schools and more than 600 modernizations, reconstructions and additions within the past five years.

Applying high performance building concepts and sustainable design to schools has not been the norm for school projects in California in the past however there is a much stronger interest by school districts now and as such Capital Engineering Consultant’s Inc. has been involved in several projects incorporating advanced concepts such as geo-thermal heat pumps, displacement ventilation, indirect evaporative cooling and dedicated outside air delivery systems.
