Placer County Land Development: Auburn, CA
The Placer County Land Development building was designed to bring together several different agencies that had previously been in several different locations. The two-story, 97,400 square foot building is one component of the counties Facilities Master Plan. Sustainable design considerations were a major influence during the entire design process resulting in a building that exceeds Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standards by 44%. Capital Engineering Consultants designed an underfloor air distribution (UFAD) through most of the building, with the exception of the main lobby/reception area and separate community hearing room, which are traditional overhead systems.
