Inderkum High School: Sacramento, CA
The energy efficiency goals for this project were to be a minimum of 25% below the 2001 T-24 standards. As a result, many efficiency measures such as ground loop heat pumps, direct-indirect evaporative cooling combined with displacement ventilation, energy recovery, radiant heating, high efficiency components and distribution have been incorporated. The financial benefits of this design approach will continue throughout the life of this school due to a substantial reduction in operating expenses. The project was submitted to the Energy Commission for consideration of funding under their energy grant program.
