State of California Central Plant Master Plan & Renovation: Sacramento, CA
Capital Engineering Consultants, Inc. led a team of consultants in a comprehensive two part master plan for the State of California’s District Energy Plant at 6th and Q in downtown Sacramento. Part I involved recommendations for mitigation measures to eliminate thermal polluting of the Sacramento River by discharging warm condenser water from their downtown plant. Part II involved the comprehensive master planning of the plant for replacement / upgrade of plant equipment and systems overall. The total plant capacity is 20,000 tons of cooling and 160,000 lbs/hr steam.
